Hi! My name is Sally. Welcome to my attempt to build a hobby through my hobbies! I love to read and I’m starting to get back into writing that ended after my Wattpad era. I wanted to create a space to share my thoughts about the books that I read that my friends may not have already read or are not in their genre of reading. I wanted to create this platform to share my thoughts and opinions in a place where they could be displayed/discussed openly. I do also like to gush about the books that I love.
Most of what I’m reading right now is romance. I honestly feel like a slow reader but I get very immersed into the books that I read at those given times. Is it healthy for them to take over your mind while reading them? I’m not sure but that is definitely what I experience if I truly love a novel. I’m always open to discovering books that are outside my immediate realm and love to learn new things. Currently one of my interest points is surrounding diasporic novels and learning about different groups of people/histories that way.
Of course, my TBR list is way too long and I get more books than I can read. But outside of reading I work full time and I’m going for my MA in Migration and Diaspora Studies in Fall 2024. I’m hoping I’ll be able to keep up with reading for pleasure even half as much when I get into my Masters but we shall see. Even moreso hoping that I will be able to keep up my desire to write. I currently have a couple writing projects in my mind and would love to share the writing process along with my reading opinions here. Maybe someone else can relate. But the main goal is to keep moving everyday and trying to find a balance between real life and the fictional world my mind lives in.
So welcome to my blogging journey where hopefully I can learn more from expressing my thoughts and opinions and learn more about the community that I try to surround myself with. I hope you enjoy this rollercoaster ride 🙂
